Vanessa Bravo Slama has enjoyed working with children for over a decade.  She began working as a nanny, and in child care centers while pursuing her degree in Biology at the University of Colorado.  This work continued as a private nanny and an education outreach coordinator through her post graduate years as a fledgling scientist for the Fish and Wildlife Department (of Puerto Rico).  She ultimately decided to pursue education as her vocation.  She continued her studies at the Rudolf Steiner College in Fair Oaks, California.  Vanessa completed the Waldorf Teacher Training program in Oahu, Hawaii and returned to California where she accepted the position as the Spanish Teacher for the Waldorf School of San Diego.

Her husband is a Biodynamic Agriculture Consultant and native San Diegan.  They celebrated the joyous birth of their son in 2006.
